Which Instagram accounts can I connect?

You can connect an Instagram Business or Creator account (Instagram calls these professional accounts). Personal accounts can’t be connected, because Instagram only lets apps read posts from professional accounts.

Switch a personal account to professional

1. Open Instagram and go to your profile.
2. Open Settings, then Account type and tools.
3. Tap Switch to professional account and pick Creator or Business.
4. Return to the app and click Connect Instagram.

Notes

• Note: You don’t need a Facebook account or a Facebook Page. The app connects with your Instagram login.
• Note: If your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page, you can also connect through Facebook. See How do I connect my Instagram account?.
• Note: Switching to a professional account doesn’t change your posts or followers.
• Note: Private accounts can’t be shown. Instagram professional accounts are public.
