Why is the offer discount not applied in the cart or checkout?
The offer discount applies automatically when the cart reaches a tier with a discount. It does not apply if the offer is paused or out of date, its rules fail at checkout, or another offer wins on that product.
- Check the cart has at least the tier’s quantity of that product. Variants of one product count together.
- Check the tier’s Value is above 0. A tier with 0 gives no discount.
- Check the offer is Live, not Paused, Scheduled or Ended, in the Offers list.
- Check the offer’s rules. Cart value is checked at checkout, and customer rules need a logged-in customer.
- Check no higher offer in the Offers list covers the same product. That offer’s discount applies instead.
- For Complete the bundle, make sure every bundle product is in the cart.
- For a mix & match pack, make sure the items are products from the pack.
- Check any discount code you use is set to combine with product discounts.
- Note: Offer discounts are set to combine with other discounts. Shopify also needs the other discount to allow combining.
- Note: Percentage discounts are rounded down per item. Totals may be a few cents lower than you expect.
- Note: Amount off each never takes more than the item’s price.
- Note: With free items, the cheapest items in the tier are the free ones.
- Note: In an A/B test, a customer who added items from version B gets version B’s discount.
- Note: For collection, tag or vendor offers, new products are included after you save the offer or open the Offers page.
