Does my feed keep showing if Instagram is down or disconnected?

Yes. The app copies your photos and Reels into your store’s Shopify Files and builds the feed into your theme’s page. Shoppers’ browsers don’t load anything from Instagram or from our servers to show the feed.

What this means

• If Instagram is down or disconnects your account, the feed keeps showing your last posts.
• If our servers are briefly unavailable, your feed still shows.
• The feed loads with the page and uses Shopify’s image CDN, sized for each screen.

Notes

• Note: New posts need a working connection to Instagram to sync. Reconnect if Home shows Instagram needs reconnecting.
• Note: Analytics events are sent in the background and never hold up the page.
