What limits apply to posts, videos and feeds?
These are the limits that apply on every store.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Posts: the latest 50 posts from your Instagram account.
- Reels: the newest 24 Reels in your feed are copied to your Shopify Files to play on your store. Up to 3 are copied per sync. Reels over 200 MB aren’t copied.
- Carousels: up to 10 slides per post.
- Feeds: 1 on Free, up to 20 on Pro.
- Tagged posts: products on up to 6 posts on Free (as many products per post as you like), unlimited on Pro.
- Reels in the feed: Pro plays Reels in the feed; on Free they play in the popup.
- Analytics: the last 7 days on Free; 30 days and stats per post on Pro.
- Grid: 2–6 columns on desktop, 1–3 on phones, 1–4 rows. Phones show the same rows as desktop.
- Collage and Hero: a fixed shape of 10 and 6 posts.
- Slider: 6, 8, 12, 16 or 24 posts.
- Collage: needs 7 posts, shows up to 10. Hero: needs 4 posts, shows up to 6.
- Hashtag filter: one hashtag per feed.
- Sync: every hour, plus Sync now whenever you need it.
- Views: no limit on either plan.
- Note: Reels that aren’t copied show their cover picture.
- Note: Copied photos and Reels count towards your store’s Shopify Files. The 24-Reel cap keeps the app well inside Shopify’s video limits.
