I used Instagenie before. What changes for me?
Instagenie has been rebuilt as Zegsu Instafeed. It’s the same app in your Shopify admin, so there’s nothing to reinstall.
What changes
Section titled “What changes”- A new admin: Home, Feeds, Posts, Analytics, Plans, Settings and Support.
- The feed is now part of your theme’s page, with photos and Reels stored in your Shopify Files. It loads faster and keeps showing if Instagram disconnects.
- Instagram connects with your Instagram login, so Facebook isn’t needed. If you connected Instagenie through a Facebook Page, that connection carries over, and you can still connect through a Facebook Page.
If you paid for Instagenie
Section titled “If you paid for Instagenie”You keep Pro on your existing subscription, whichever Instagenie plan you paid for (monthly, yearly or Plus). You don’t need to do anything.
- Note: If you switch to Free in Plans, your original subscription ends. Pro after that costs $5.99 a month.
- Note: The 7-day Pro trial for new stores doesn’t apply to stores that used Instagenie.
If you were on Instagenie’s free plan
Section titled “If you were on Instagenie’s free plan”You’re on Free. Free now includes product tags on up to 6 posts, which Instagenie’s free plan didn’t offer. Pro adds unlimited tagged posts, Reels in the feed, more layouts and feeds, and stats for each post.
- Note: The Instagram feed section in your theme keeps working. Its Custom code (optional) setting only applies to the old feed.
- Note: If your feed looks different or isn’t showing, open the app once and check Home.
