How does the app handle my data and my shoppers' data?
The app stores what it needs to show your feed: your Instagram account’s access, your posts, your tags and your feed settings. It doesn’t store shoppers’ names, emails or addresses.
What’s stored
Section titled “What’s stored”- Your Instagram username, profile picture and the access Instagram gives the app (stored encrypted).
- Your posts: photos, Reels, captions, likes and comments counts, and your tags.
- Feed views, opens and adds to cart, counted per day without any shopper details.
- For sales tracking: an order’s number, total and which posts it came from.
Deleting your data
Section titled “Deleting your data”- Uninstall the app and Shopify asks us to delete your store’s data 48 hours later. We delete all of it except one record: your store’s myshopify.com address and the date of its free Pro trial. We keep that so the trial isn’t offered again if you reinstall. It holds nothing else: no Instagram data, posts, settings, stats or contact details. To have it deleted too, email support@zegsu.com.
- Removing the app from your Instagram account (Instagram → Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites) deletes your Instagram account’s access from the app.
- Note: Photos and Reels copied to your Shopify Files are in your store. See What happens when I uninstall the app?.
